Accidents do happen to almost anyone, even if we take necessary precautions. We’ll never know when it will occur or what would exactly happen, so it pays to be vigilant all the time. While things don’t always turn out well in these mishaps, some remain positive amidst the casualty. Just like former Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) housemate Baninay Bautista who had a motorcycle misadventure.
Through her Youtube channel, the Bibang Bentang-guena ng Batangas visited her fellow PBB alumnus, Jesi Corcuera, in his home. The two became friends when they were both contestants of PBB Lucky 7 last year. Along with other housemates, they formed the #VlogSquad to document their daily lives through video blogging.
As part of their Balik-Alindog Program, the two decided to go to the gym to workout. So, off they went aboard Jesi’s motorcycle.
Alas, it didn’t go according to plan.
Wearing a helment, Baninay videoed herself and her bleeding mouth, saying, “Guys, na-aksidente po kami ni Jesi. Grabe, guys.”
The camera panned to show Jesi grimacing and clutching his shoulder. The passersby were watching the duo.
“Oh my God,” Baninay said as she spit out blood from her mouth. “Tanggal yung braces ko. Patay ako kay doc!”
Aside from her split upper lip and broken braces, she also showed her skinned knees. Apparently, it was Baninay’s first time to be involved in an accident.
“Beshie, ok lang ako ha. Wag ka mag-alala sa akin. Kay doc lang ako nag-aalala. Magagalit yun sa akin,” she quipped.
Despite her injuries, Baninay still continued to vlog. “Oh diba, vlogging is life,” she joked as she rode again on the motorcycle. After what they’ve been through, the unlucky pair just decided to head home.
At Jesi’s house, Baninay continued to examine her injuries and saw the good side from her accident.
She’s glad that only her lips took most of the damage on her face. “At least wala sa mukha ko na magpepeklat. Etong lips madaling lang ‘to, ‘di ba?”
Baninay also kept on saying that the accident was not Jesi’s fault. “Ang aksidente ay aksidente,” she told the camera.
It’s also fortunate that the rinding in tandem wasn’t vlogging when the crash happened. According to Jesi, he avoided a tricycle that suddenly halted to pick up a passenger. When he braked, their motorcycle stopped on a wet road, causing them to slip and slide. Or sumemplang, in other words.
After the accident, it seemed that the duo got back on track – with their lakwatsa. Balik alindog program would have to wait for another time.
