A group of small business owners in Zambales and Pampanga reportedly snubbed Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV during a privilege speech on Wednesday, a local radio report from Clark said.
Trillanes was invited by a friend from Angeles City who is a member of Angeles Business Club on a dinner in relation to the Clucbs anniversary.
The dinner was also joined by three dozen small businessmen from Pampanga and Zambales.
Trillanes was the only non-member who attended, and was given time to talk according to the report, as a privilege for being a high-ranking politician.
Most of the members reportedly did not expect the Senator, and many showed disinterest when the senator started to talk.
There was another report that the unnamed businessman who invited Trillanes was scolded by his colleagues for bringing an uninvited person.
Trillanes gave a short speech of about five minutes and was coldly accepted, the report said.
The senator reportedly left several minutes after his speech after knowing that he is not welcome.
Eyewitness saw the senator leaving alone at around 11:30 PM with his personal bodyguards.
