He definitely made the best out of his fame.

We’ve seen successful loves stories go viral on the internet. There who met online and ended up being together for real, couples in long-distance relationship who prove that love knows no distance, and yes, couples who do not look like they are meant for each other—but prove that love definitely knows no race or color.

One of the most popular stories is a Chinese man who married a younger Ukranian woman. Their story has lit up Chinese social media sites, where netizens have expressed envy over the man who came from humble beginnings and ended up living the dream in a foreign country.

That man was no other than Mei Aicai is from Chengde, Hebei province.

Although Mei knew nothing about Ukraine (he thought it was in Africa), he decided to move to Kharkov for a higher degree. That was where he soon met the love of his life, who was just 16 at that time.

”She may be young but her views are very mature. At school, she is a good student with excellent grades and at home, she is a good wife, keeping our home neat and tidy, doing the laundry and cooking,” Mei said.

When their pictures went viral on social media, netizens were quick to judge Mei, claiming he didn’t deserve such a beautiful wife. But in the end, more people messaged Mei, asking for advice on how to date beautiful women. That prompted Mei to creating a dating club, wherein Chinese men can meet Ukranian women for dating.

In order to recruit women for their club, Mei’s wife’s sister goes out on the street to approach promising candidates, offering the chance to meet “exceptional Chinese men.” At one point, she even tries to talk to a pair of 15-year-old girls.

To get the Ukrainian women ready for their eventual life in China, Mei’s agency holds language and culture classes, teaching the women how to count to ten in Chinese and where the best shopping centers are.

Mei denies that his dating club ‘Culove’ is just a fancy international prostitution ring, asserting that when compared to Chinese matchmaking services, his club is more about love and less about “business transactions” that highlight material wealth. He says that he hopes to grow his business in the coming years into a successful international brand by opening branches in Belarus and Russia as well.
