Netizen Antonyo Yuhenyo fearlessly confessed on his recent Facebook post how he was able to move on from the tyrannies brought upon by Martial Law during the Marcos regime despite the fact that he and his family were among the thousands of Filipinos who joined Anti-ML and Anti-Marcos protests.
“But we’re moved on. It doesn’t mean we’ve forgotten. We just moved on. Why? All the promises and spirit of EDSA 1 were desecrated by the governments, from Cory Aquino and to her son Noynoy,” he said.
Yuhenyo also pointed out the negative setbacks after the Martial Law ended. According to him, during ML, there was a dictator and plunderer. After EDSA, countless mini dictators and plunderers took over the land.
“It was like the 40 thieves took over after deposing Alibaba, “he added.
Moreover, the netizen expressed how tired he was hearing the phrase “MarcosNotAHero” over and over again. He even criticized the late President Magsaysay from changing the name of Republic Memorial Cemetery to Libingan ng mga Bayani.
Also, the former Marcos rallyist questioned our certainty that all the people buried in the said cemetery are “heroes” for he believes heroism is very subjective and relative.
“To settle this matter once and for all, the name of “Libingan ng mga Bayani” should be returned to its original name, Republic Memorial Cemetery. Period,” he said.

“I lived thru Martial Law as well as my family. My friend’s father was captured and tortured during those years numerous times. We joined anti-ML and anti-Marcos rallies. We were there at EDSA 1 and EDSA 2, even in the 3 anniversaries of EDSA 1.
But we’ve moved on. It doesn’t mean we’ve forgotten. We just moved on. Why? All the promises and spirit of EDSA 1 were desecrated by the governments, from Cory Aquino and to her son Noynoy.

It may be hard to swallow. But life was better during ML, maybe at least for us ordinaryong Pilipino.
But what has happened to the ordinaryong Pilipino after EDSA 1? Did their lives get better?
If these NeverAgain people do not want Martial Law to be imposed again, why then did these same NeverAgain people allow Martial Law in their 1987 Constitution? Nakakatawa talaga sila.
And the question of FEMarcos’ heroism that would make him unfit to be buried at LNMB, as perceived and contented by certain groups, the court’s decision and the President’s proposal do not say that Marcos is a hero.
He’s qualified for being a President of the republic and a former soldier.MarcosNotAHero. MarcosNotAHero. Paulit ulit na lang. Baket pa kasi binago ni President Magsaysay ang pangalan ng Republic Memorial Cemetery nung 1954? Dinramahan pa. Bayani. Hero.
How can we be sure that everyone buried there is a hero?
Heroism is very subjective and relative. Heroism cannot be legislated. To settle this matter once and for all, the name of Libingan Ng Mga Bayani should be returned to its original name, Republic Memorial Cemetery. Period.
The Dilawans and Anti-Duterte people sell FEAR and LIES.
Duterte promotes HOPE and CHANGE.
