Retired police officer SP03 Arthur Lascañas, said his life became chaotic after he trusted Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV.

The former cop who is now on the run said that from the very beginning, his wife tried to convince him several times not to trust the senator, but he was fallen prey.

“My wife told me not to trust him (Trillanes). I should’ve listened to him. Perhaps, we have a normal life now and enjoying my retirement benefits”, Lascañas said from undisclosed location.

The retired police officer caught media headlines last year when he involved Pres. Duterte’s name on the alleged Davao Death Squad (DDS), a group of people allegedly created by the then Mayor Duterte, to kill criminals in Davao City.

Trillanes and some human rights advocate filed complaint against Duterte at International Criminal Court, but since then, no update has been released.

Lascañas said he is not hoping for any favorable result anymore.

“My life is now a mess. I don’t know where to start, and don’t know what will happen to me and my family”, he said.

The retired police officer said he is living off his pension.

“I have no contact with them anymore (referring to trillanes et.al). I know its too late, but I don’t want myself to get associated anymore”, Lascañas added.

It is not clear what happened to the case, but the retired cop said he is not interested anymore.
