President Rodrigo Duterte declared yesterday, September 21, as the National Day of Protest. Work and classes were suspended in public schools and government offices in order to make way for rallyists. Thousands of protesters went out of their homes and marched all over the streets in order to voice out their opinion. Meanwhile, one man decided to take out his against against a common enemy of the Filipino people — slow internet connection.
While the rest of the city marched tirelessly in order to tackle the issues regarding our government, a lone protester went out of his way and stood outside a PLDT office in order to complain about his internet connection.
Netizen Rey-an Moreno posted about what he did at PLDT on Facebook. Yesterday, the telecom company apologized for the slow internet connection which some parts of the Metro experienced due to the repair of fiber optic transmission cables that were earlier damaged by “civil works of a third party in Alabang.”
Because Moreno has had enough, he decided to make use of the National Day of Protest to rally against PLDT’s service.
