As we all know, Senator Antonio Trillanes IV, the staunchest critic of President Duterte had his appointment with DBS Bank in Singapore last Tuesday to disprove the president’s allegation of him owning offshore bank accounts. However, the tables were turned.

After Trillanes presented his legal documents along with the account number (178000296012) publicize by Duterte to the bank teller, he was told that the account is nonexistent and the bank cannot give him a certification to prove it since he is not their client.

Furthermore, the account number handed over by the senator is different from the account number (11780 00281 602) stated in his signed weaver addressed to AMLC and the Ombudsman dated September 11,2017.
In an interview with Erwin Tulfo at PTV-4, Duterte admitted he intentionally omitted some numbers to make it as his bait for Trillanes to go extremes to prove the reported account was not his even though he knew it all along.

Binawasan ko ng number, imbento lang,” Duterte said.
“Produkto ng isip ko to. Tinanggalan ko lang ginamit mo. Nag-issue ka ng waiver. Ang waiver mo iba ang account number iba ang totoo.”, the president said.
