Marian Rivera is a known Kapuso star so people were in shock – or in awe – when she attended an event held by ABS-CBN‘s film production unit, Star Cinema. The GMA Network darling attended the premiere night of “Seven Sundays,” a family drama.
According to a report by Philippine Entertainment Portal, Marian Rivera graced the event to show support for her husband Dingdong Dantes, who was part of the film.
Dingdong plays the role of Bryan, who is the eldest among his siblings. He is the “kuya” of Enrique Gil, Aga Muhlach, and Cristine Reyes.
In an additional report from Star Cinema, DingDong shared that playing the role gave him a new perspective. He said:
“Sa amin kasi ako ang panganay and [ang character ko dito] hindi panganay so for me to have a perspective of a sibling who is in the middle of a family gives me a different appreciation of my own siblings. Because nalalaman ko how it is to be in their shoes.”
“As actors, we get the opportunity to dive into the lives of people na hindi naman tayo and from there, nakikita natin from a different perspective na ah ‘ganito pala ang kuya. So nalalaman ko na nakakairita pala ako as a kuya sa totoong buhay.”
The premiere screening was held in SM Megamall on Tuesday, October 10, 2017. Marian Rivera watched the film side-by-side her husband.
It was not just her presence that stunned the fans. Other famous personalities were also in attendance, including Liza Soberano and Charlene Gonzalez.
Liza is Enrique’s rumored girlfriend, while Charlene is Aga’s wife. It was evident that through their presence, the ladies were there to fully support the important men in their lives.
This was actually not the first time that Marian Rivera has graced an ABS-CBN-sponsored event. The report cited that in 2016, she helped promote another Star Cinema film, “The Unmarried Wife.” It starred Dindgong, along with Angelica Panganiban and Paulo Avelino.
Meanwhile, here are more stars who appeared during the premiere night of “Seven Sundays:”
“Seven Sundays” is currently showing in cinemas nationwide. The film was directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina and has been graded “A” by the Cinema Evaluation Board.
