Stealing is one of the most common crimes in residential households and establishments. People like thieves and robbers attempt to break into other people’s property and steal whatever it is they wanted for their selfish reasons. One Facebook page uploaded a video of a thief attempting to steal.
However, he wasn’t able to do so since the owner has a gun with her. It was uploaded on the Facebook page “Philippines CCTV & DASH CAM Spotted,” where it has garnered 864,000 views, 1,800 likes, and around 452 shares on other netizens’ timelines as of this writing.
They didn’t provide any kind of information on the video description but based on the title of the page, it was presumed it came from CCTV footage.
It was a short clip but it gained lots of viewers because of the supposedly unexpected twist. In the video obtained, a man – who was surmised to be the thief – pointed at something behind the woman. The woman was alleged to be the owner of what appears to be a pawn shop. When she looked at the place where the thief pointed, he suddenly ran away.
The woman was shocked but in a few seconds, she opened one of the drawers under the counter and grabbed a pistol. She released it from its holster and immediately pointed it at the thief, who came into view and probably returned something on the counter. Then he briefly folded his hands together, made a slight bowing gesture, and decided to make a run for the door.
From what appears to be another CCTV camera the thief can be seen repeatedly pulling at the glass door towards him but failed. This went on for several seconds until he returned an item to counter and then folded his hands together with a bowing gesture. Apparently, he was shocked by what the alleged owner did.
It wasn’t mentioned where the incident specifically took place, but netizens speculate that it probably didn’t happen in the Philippines since the door of the establishment seemed to lock itself – something that small establishments in the country do not have.
